The color of amethyst rings may vary from one to the next. The more valuable gemstone ranges in color from pale lilac to deep, reddish purple, often with flashes of blue, and is an exotic and beautiful color for both earrings and rings. Amethyst is a fairly durable gemstone and may be worn frequently. Amethyst rings or any amethyst jewelry should not, however, be ultrasonic or steam cleaned. Extreme temperature and vibration may not be good for these gemstones.

At Forever Jewelers our rings are all created using 14karat gold or better in purity. Amethyst gemstones may be heat-treated -- a common and permanent process. Heat-treating causes the color of the gemstone to become more intense and  more desirable, recreating the natural process that occurs deep underground.
