The gem has checkerboard facets on top for additional sparkle and is prong set. This simulated gem has beautiful, deep violet-blue color and is eye-clean, bright and clear. Please note that this is not a genuine tanzanite gemstone. This is a simulated gem that has similar beautiful color as natural tanzanite.
